| Thanks to the new
satalight’s™ uniquely innovative/
flexible design, interactive whiteboard learning
systems are now accessible to people with
significant physical and/or learning disabilities,
including those in wheelchairs. The satalight™
features a SMART Board™ 640 interactive whiteboard
which can be moved up or down, as well
as tilted at multiple angles from any vertical or
horizontal position — making it infinitely more
accessible to physically challenged students/
instructors than stationary, wall-mounted boards.
Its flexible height adjustments also make it ideal for
use with young children in early stage kindergarten. The system’s touch-sensitive and extremely intuitive user interface
is enhanced by the flexibility and richness of SMART’s Notebook™
collaborative learning software. Users can write, drag and drop files, browse the
Web and save files using their fingers, pointers or full hand. This software
also allows users to illustrate ideas, model concepts and enhance discussions
through an embedded gallery, which houses thousands of digital resources.
The satalight™ is extremely easy to use for teachers as well as students at all
age levels. Its innovative design makes lifting, lowering and tilting the whiteboard
a snap, while its tip-resistant, four-wheeled locking design allows for easy
movement from room to room. Teachers will also appreciate the educational
content the satalight™ system places at their fingertips. Through SMART’s
Bridgit Conferencing Software, (an option for the satalight™) teachers can easily
collaborate lessons, projects, etc, with other SMART equipped classrooms, either
close to home or around the world!!
